Southern Water Company Limited (SWCL) is dedicated to providing and distributing high-quality potable water to its valued clients. Phase 1 of the project, to be commissioned at the beginning of the second quarter of 2026, will provide an initial capacity of 11,000m³ per day, with provisions for future expansion to a total capacity of 45,000 m³ per day. With expertise and best-in-class operational practices, SWCL is uniquely positioned to provide resilient water infrastructure that enhances business continuity, operational efficiency, and long-term economic value across Ghana’s key industrial terrain.

The Water Treatment Plant is designed to treat extracted raw water from the Volta River and convey it through an 18-kilometre transmission line, providing a dedicated 24/7 supply of treated potable water to industrial tenants. This scalable design will ensure long-term sustainability and water security for Ghana’s growing industrial base.
